Newsletter 6-6-2010 We're all in beta/ live video auctions

 Video auctions tonight at 9pm ET

If you’re reading this on my website and are not yet a subscriber to my newsletter, please sign up. There are benefits to subscribers that others cannot get, such as prizes for my weekly contests and more. It’s free and I don’t spam or sell names.

Sorry I missed your inbox last week. Memorial Day brought about my son’s high school graduation and other events which made it impossible to send out a newsletter.
==========================

We’re all in beta. I just realized this as I open up my email, use my new Android phone. Yes, I’ve had it over a month now, but I still am just learning it’s features. I pick it up to answer a call and my email pops up. I’ll check my calender, and I’m calling a business contact! As I think about this, I realize how much we are all still learning about the new technology at our fingertips.

No matter how much of a computer geek you are, there is no end to what you can learn and get better at with the tools we have available today.

What I’m getting to…

                                                                      Will you BooCoo?

BooCoo.com the new online auction site I’ve been working with has made it’s soft launch and is now in beta. The site is up and running, I’ve posted items and a good amount of them have bids. Only friends and employees of the site are able to use it right now as we beta test working out bugs and deciding which features will stay and which will get scrapped.

I hope to have a sign-in code for those of you who wish to try the site next week. I’m very excited and the BooCoo team has been great to work with. We’ll be launching a major, and I mean MAJOR advertising campaign as the full launch gets underway. It looks like this will be late June.
=========================

Here’s why I think you should consider giving YET ANOTHER eBay alternative a try.

BooCoo.com has a unique business model that combines national exposure with strong local community ties.
The BooCoo team is aware and capable of tapping into the vast sea of eBay sellers
who feel disenfranchised by a company they built!
BooCoo knows that there’s strength in a network of small, savvy sellers and that they’re tough, persistent and loyal when they’re treated right.
We know that when you always put profit ahead of people that you will ultimately start losing both.
We’re new, but we’re not. We have bastion newspaper veterans who are eager to take their print publications to ground breaking level of community service.

Please tell your friends about this launch!

                                                 The weekly contest:

 The last contest question was:  What town is Fast Eddie Fargnoli from? Betsy H. from CA. She clocked in at 11:13 Eastern time to beat several other correct answers! Thanks to Betsy and all who entered. Betsy, your package will be coming soon.

 A video about Fast Eddie can be  found on YouTube video  The extended audio interview w/ Fast Eddie will be posted soon on the
AuctionWally Show

This week’s question is: How many Price Reports do I currently have in my Prices-Realized directory?

The first person to email me with the correct answer to the question above, will be the winner. Now of course, I’ll need a way to get that package to the winner, so send your snail mail address along with your contest answers. The prize is a neat collectibles surprise envelope which includes things found in a recent estate purchase I made. Things likely to be in said envelope are vintage postcards, ephemera, books, old photos and who knows what?

The best way I know of to:

  • Research what live auctions are featuring each week
  • Find out who is selling what and where
  • Find out which auctioneers sell what types of items
  • Search what things have sold for
  • See who is taking consignments
  • Find specialty auctions
  • Bid online
  • Ask auctioneers specific questions
  • Qualify auctions for your specific interests
  • Search live auction content by zip code
… and much more, is to use Auctionzip.com the largest live auction locator.

I’ve been using AuctionZip.com for years now, and I’m proud to have them as a sponsor.
