AW says: The old newspaper you have, contains interesting subject matter, but not early enough in Lincoln’s history to be very valuable. Your edition of the New York American is after the turn of the 20th century. and thus is not very scarce.
There may not be a lot of these particular issues around, but Lincoln was so popular, that many thousands of copies of various, souvenir edition papers were printed with his biography on it.
And those satisfy the demand in the market place up to the price range reflected here.
I do like the fact that your’s appears to be complete, at least from these and the other photos you’ve provided. It gets points for that.
