The Onion Pattern definition

This pattern actually got it’s name from a case of mistaken identity. It was created in the early 1700s by Johann Haroldt from the famous Meissen factory in Germany. The Onion in the pattern was actually a Peach which was mistaken for an Onion. The pattern is mostly found in blue, but can be seen in Red and Pink.
Although attributed and associated with Meissen it’s been manufactured by many other companies in other countries including Japan & England.
