What's it worth? Appraisal for French style bedside lamps
I’m looking to get an appraisal for these bedside lamps that were my mothers. These lamps are about 30 years old. I could not find a manufacturer on them anywhere. They stand 4 feet tall including the lamp shade and are very heavy. That’s all the information I can think to pass on to you.
Thank you for your time with this.
Diane

AW says: These are European in design and likely French at that, although it’s possible they could be Italian. The country of origin would have little to do with the value of these lamps, as they would ride on the merit of quality and aesthetics.
They likely have Austrian lead crystal embellishment’s.
The metal is a “pot” metal which is a mix of severaly metals, usually zinc, pewter etc. They are post 1960 and appear to be in excellent condtion.
An indicator of quality is the well formed base design these sit upon.
