What's it worth? Appraisal of Venetian bracelet
Dusica asks:
Hello,
I have a bracelet that was found, along with some other jewelry, buried underground in a small village in Serbia, and my grandparents found the jewelry in a jug when they were building their house. It’s made of iron, and it says Venezia on each circular part of the bracelet, and there’s a lion with wings on them. On the other side a motif of Venezia is present.
Thank you very much for taking your time to appraise my item.
Kind regards,
Dusica

AW says: Your bracelet, although charming is an inexpensive piece of jewelry. It was punched out on a jewelry press machine. It depicts the city of Venice in Italy. Venezia is Italian for Venice. It’s interesting, but not unusual that it found it’s way to Serbia.
This was made for the souvenir trade, and was likely lost by someone when it slipped off of their wrist.
