What's it worth? Prices realized for silver age comic books

Although this page is a bit different from the appraisals I personally conduct here, collectors and dealers of comic books should find the prices realized in the slide show useful.

The highlight of this auction was lot #868 Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 8.0 off white pages. First appearance of Spider Man. Stan Lee snuck the web-slinger’s origin into this dying issue of Amazing Fantasy.  Start Price : 10.00 | Estimates : 30,000.00 - 50,000.00 Sold for 75,000.00 + 11,250.00 = 86,250.00

More than  3,000 comic books were sold in this 2 session auction event. There were over 1,000 CGC graded books, including rare vintage Silver Age and Bronze Age titles, such as:

This auction was on iCollector. On-site bidding was held at the Ameristar Casino in St. Charles, MO as well. The auction took place Oct. 30th and 31st, 2009.
